Why risk damaging your important documents – or even losing them? You know only too well how much of a struggle, time-wasting and frustrating thing it is to try to get through to the right people and how many follow-ups it takes before you have what you need.
Let us electronically sort and store your records for you, before they lay around getting damaged, lost or misfiled. Even if you have documents neatly stored in different files, they are still taking up space, have to be taken out and carried with you to different places and can still get lost or damaged. Geysers burst. Freak storms cause floods. Fires flare up unexpectedly. Don’t risk losing things which are valuable to you.
You may feel that it is just too much of a hassle for you to put everything into your BeforeISleep portfolio yourself. If you are comfortable with a person you trust, doing it for you, that’s just great. However, there may be nobody to help you so this is where we can provide this service for you. Just think for a moment. Pretty much anything you will send us or give us access to, is already out there with probably dozens of companies and who knows how securely your information is stored or who looks at it along the way. Receptionists, clerks, admin staff, managers – how many hands does your personal information pass through before it is filed? Who all has access to your files anyway? Think of all the companies and stores you have given a copy of your ID to? That’s just one document! What about the rest? At least you can rest assured that we are one company which has your best interests at heart and can be trusted with your valuable documentation. Once anything is uploaded safely into your BeforeISleep portfolio, the only person who has access to it is you. It is you who controls who you share it with from here.
It is our job to work with confidential information. We have been trusted with the financials of companies listed on the Stock Exchange prior to their release to the public, so you can trust us with your information too. Like you, our time is precious. In order to offer you this service, we would only need to look at your documents for a few seconds in order to determine which folder(s) they should go into or spend extra time if you want us to fill in details in the different categories provided for in the forms in the different sections. Think of us as document doctors. Doctors see dozens of bodies every week. You expose very private parts of yourself to them as part of the process of becoming well. Their intentions are to help you to heal. Likewise, we would only handle your documents to the extent required to be of service to you. Our entire business rests on trust and confidentiality and your right to privacy so you can rest assured we are not going to do anything which compromises that. However, we cannot take responsibility for anyone else accessing your own emails, making copies of what is in your files at home or third party service policies (e.g. the email process itself and the security/confidential policies of whichever application you are using). And of course we have no way of knowing who else you have given any of the information to. I personally cannot remember how many companies have a copy of my ID or even who they are!
How to get your files and important information to us once you have accepted our quote
1. Send us your files via email, wetransfer or drop box. Once you have done so, it will be your responsibility to delete them from/have them deleted by the Third Party service providers you used to get them to us. It is also your responsibility to ensure that whichever Third Party service providers you use to get the information to us, can also be trusted to retain the confidentiality of your information. These can be attachments you forward to us or attachments you get from the folders in your computer which you upload and send to us. You can also scan them or take a photographs but make sure the quality and size are sufficiently large so that if you chose to print them once they are stored in your BeforeISleep folders, the quality is decent. We can downsize documents but quality is lost if we upsize them. We will send you an email once we have downloaded your files so that you can delete the email you sent us with the attachments.
2. Grant permission for one of our team members to come to your home and scan, upload and store your information in the correct folders and sections of BeforeISleep. This we can do in your presence so you have the peace of mind of watching for yourself, everything we do. This service is currently only available to people in Cape Town and immediate surrounds but may be extended depending on demand.
